Are you one of the thousands of poeple that have asked themselves  "How can I become a famous singer?" If you find yourself nodding your head  then the first thing you must do is to learn how to breath properly. Very few people are aware of the significance breathing has to improving your singing. Whilst many know and understand about warming up the vocal chords and whilse this is important the correct breathing methods  are just as if not more  important often and must be worked on, and never neglected.

Whilst everyone breaths naturally, to breath correctly in singing terms means breathing from your diaphragm. Not only can this improve your singing but it can also improve your quality of life. Deep breathing enables increased flow of oxygen to the brain and all of the body's cells. This will not only improve your singing but give you more energy and make your performance sparkle.

Whilst it may seem like I am stating the obvious, singing lifeblood is breathing. Everything in a singers armory is  dependent on the air they bring into their lungs.

One well known tip  to improve singing methods which in turn could lead to answering the question how can I become a famous singer is  to control the air you inhale into your body. By working on a proper breathing method you will have much greater control over the length of time you can hold a note as well as improving the strength and pitch of your voice.

Start by Yawning

Start your preparations and warm up by Yawning. Yawning exercises are responsible for relaxing the vocal muscles.. To sing and give of your best you need to practice inhaling as quietly and gently as possible.Whilst improving your singing this will also benefit you many times over once you start singing with a microphone as it wont pick up your breathing. After inhalation relax as thoroughly as you can.

Breathing

At this stage you need to breath in and out as slowly as you possibly can. Whilst breathing in deeply think of,indeed imagine the air entering your body filling up your lungs and then speeding around your body giving you energy and Zest.

You should soon feel an expansion around your abdominal area and around your ribs. In simple terms your diaphragm is lowering and your lungs are feeling as nature intended. As you concentrate on doing this on a regular basis it will become natural and both your singing and your general well being should improve.

Singing

Once a proper breathing pattern is learned and you have perfected it you will then be in a position to become the singer you always dreamt of becoming. Lets try something totally different. Rather than standing or sitting lay down on the floor.Dont worry if this feels strange or unatural there are reasons for doing this and if you want to achieve your aims then a little bit of strangeness is nothing to worry about. Whilst on the floor place something on your stomach such as a book. Don't make the object too heavy. The idea is to watch closely how your abdomen moves relative to the object on top of it.

If you do not feel confident enough in learning the proper breathing technique on your own or are not certain if you are doing it properly another option is enlisting the help of a music coach. Music coaches all specialize in breathing methods.

If you genuinely want the answer to the question "How can I become a famous singer?" then breathing is the very first skill you need to learn. Then you will have a good foundation to achieving your dream.
